Instructions
Prepare the Beef: Slice the beef thinly against the grain. In a bowl, combine the beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and 1/4 cup of water.
Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned but not fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Broccoli: Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until they are bright green and slightly tender-crisp.
Combine Everything: Return the beef to the wok with the broccoli. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly.
Remove from heat.
