Ingredients
  

Bacon Tortellini Alfredo Ingredients

  • 1 lb Cheese Tortellini fresh or frozen
  • 6 slices Bacon thick-cut
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese freshly grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Butter unsalted
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper freshly ground
  • optional Fresh Parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain well and set aside.
  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside to drain. Crumble when cooled.
  • Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the skillet. Add the butter and garlic and sauté over medium-low heat for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.
  • Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat with the Alfredo sauce. Add the crumbled bacon.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables to this recipe, such as mushrooms or spinach. Chicken or shrimp also make great additions!
